Fire Extinguishers
Radio Fire Detection and Alarm Systems
MK Fire Ltd have been installing radio fire detection and alarm systems for over ten years and have installed systems in some of the most prestigious and important buildings in the UK.

There are a wide variety of controllers, transponders, detectors, call points, radio sounders and radio interface units available to achieve economical system design for any type of application, whether it is a completely new fire system, an extension to an existing system, temporary protection or changing standards, MK Fire Ltd will provide the economic solution.
Where to use Radio Systems
Clearly a fire alarm system that requires no cables has many advantages over conventional systems when it comes to installing in sensitive sites. Many of the U. K. ’s heritage and listed buildings are now protected with radio systems as well as modern sites where it is just not practical to run cables.

The installation of radio systems provides obvious up front advantages during the initial installation but it also provides great flexibility in the long term. Devices can be moved or added with the minimum of disruption. Indeed whole systems can be quickly de-commissioned and moved to entirely new sites!
Radio Fire Alarm Systems
Over the past 5 years radio operated fire alarm systems have developed to an extent that they can provide the same features and functions that are standard on many conventional and analogue addressable systems.

They can be installed as simple single Panel systems with the usual associated devices i.e. smoke and heat detectors, call points and sounders.

They are however capable of covering large complex sites where multiple control and repeater panels are net worked together.

M. K. Fire have installed a system comprising of some 48 control panels networked together with some 2000 associated radio devices.
Mixed systems
Some sites are best served by using a combination of hard wired and radio operated fire systems. A wide rage of radio interface units make it possible to mix systems and also for the radio systems to be interfaced with other building control services.

Rules and Regulations
All radio components are fully tested and approved by the DTI Radio Communications Agency to MPT 1305 and MPT 1328 or MPT 1328 and MPT 1344.

All components are CE tested and approved. MK Fire Radio Systems conform to BS 5839 and EN54 Parts 2 and 4.

Radio Interference Site coding, quality design and experience with numerous installations, ensures no cross interference with other fire, intruder or nurse-call systems or interference with/from mobile telephones, 2-way telephone systems, radar or microwave installations. Attempted deliberate interference is immediately reported as a system fault.
